Vision and visual sense
The visual sense is the most essential human sensory organ system for realizing our surroundings. The visual system comprises the eye with cornea, iris, pupil, lens, vitreous body, retina, optic nerve, and large portions of the brain. It continually manages an anormouis flow of information and analyses, filters, sorts, and evaluates. The eye produces an image on the retina, which is then transmitted to the brain.
Seeing is a matter of course – until it becomes impaired. Only when a person’s view is affected he becames aware of the enormous importance of the evisual sense.
